Net Floor Area (NFA)
Definition
The total usable floor area within a building, measured from the internal face of perimeter walls and excluding non-occupiable or structural areas such as external and internal walls, columns, structural cores, lift shafts, stairwells, mechanical/electrical rooms, and other service areas. NFA represents the actual space that can be used for the building’s intended purpose, whether that’s office work, retail, residential living, or other functions.
