Definition
The ratio between the total gross floor area of all buildings on a site and the total area of the site on which they stand, expressed as a decimal number or multiplier. Also known as Floor Space Ratio (FSR) in some jurisdictions, this metric provides a standardized measure of development intensity that accounts for both horizontal and vertical space utilization.
Purpose
